The island is rugged and mountainous, with a dry and hot climate. Visitors can take guided tours to see the Komodo dragons in their natural habitat, as well as other wildlife such as deer, wild boars, and various species of birds. The park is also home to some of the best dive sites in the world, with crystal clear waters and an abundance of marine life.
One of the most popular activities on Komodo Island is trekking, where visitors can explore the island’s rugged terrain, visit traditional villages and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding sea. There are also several beautiful beaches on the island, including Pink Beach, which gets its name from the pink sand caused by the mixture of white sand and red coral fragments.
Visitors to Komodo Island can choose from a variety of accommodation options, including camping, homestays, and luxury resorts. The island has a small population of around 2,000 people, who mostly live in the villages near the coast.
